Career recordHe skateboarded seriously until 10th grade. Basketball was his coach's idea, not his — Van Myers at Jordan High spotted the athleticism and moved him onto the varsity team. By his own account he was “terrible” for years: “I didn't get good til I was a junior in college.”
That junior year was at Weber State, in the same backcourt as a future NBA All-Star, Damian Lillard. He was named Big Sky Newcomer of the Year, then dismissed from the team at the end of the season.
The D-League drafted him in the sixth round in 2011 and waived him two games later with an injury. He stopped chasing it and went to work managing a Verizon Wireless store.
Then he started showing up at the Drew League.
